VW Scirocco Mk2 Triple Gauge Panel 1982-1992

Installation of the Scirocco Triple Gauge Panel requires removal of the center console from the car and cutting out of the ashtray area. This can be accomplished with simple hand tools such as a Dremel with a cutoff blade and a sharp knife. Sand paper and a file are also recommended for smoothing the newly cut edges.

The back of the ashtray, ashtray guides, and raised lip on the top edge of the ash tray opening will need to be removed.

Cut off the back of the ashtray.

Next, cut off the raised lip on the top edge of the ash tray opening.

Cut off the ashtray guides. You only need to remove the one on the right side closest to the gauge opening.

After cutting, smooth the rough edges with sandpaper.

Attach the center gauge to the Triple Gauge Panel with it’s U-shaped bracket and place it in the console. Install the outer gauges and attach the U-shaped brackets, bending the outer leg so it clamps securely to the center console.

The Triple Gauge Panel is held in place by bending the outer two legs of the U-clamps so they clamp to the plastic.

Installation is complete!
