1976 Scirocco Early Type I Sciroccos are easily identified by the chrome 'push-bar' type bumpers. This photo also shows the 'manditory' optional alloy wheels.
1979 Scirocco One of the best years for Type I Sciroccos was 1979. Rust problems were being addressed (somewhat) and we finally had the five-speed transmission. What always made the Scirocco unique when compared to the Golf I (Rabbit) and Golf II models was the tilt and slide sunroof.
1981 Scirocco S The last year for the beloved first generation model. Shown here is an 'S' model, which included black out trim, front spoiler, stripe kit and Recaro designed seats.
Scirocco I Interior A typical Scirocco I dash layout. While attractive, the layout leaves something to be desired, especially with respect to seeing the warning lamps.
