The text reads as follows:
Scirocco. A hot new car from Volkswagon. Scirocco is as fast and powerful as the desert wind it's named after. Scirocco packs a gusty 1.5-liter engine. And mounts it transversly in front over the drive wheels to give it better traction. Overhead cam design makes for a sporty feel, a good torque range, and enough power to sprint from 0-50 in 7.5 seconds. Scirocco handles like nothing you've ever driven before. Its front-wheel drive and progressive rack-and-pinion steering make it excitingly manuverable, with sharp steering response and good neutral cornering ability. Scirocco virtually leaps to do your bidding at a touch. And Scirocco rides like nothing you've ever ridden before. The front suspension has coil-spring/shock absorber struts with progressive action. But it's the rear stabilizer axle that's really new. It consists of two independant trailing arms joined at the front pivot points by a transverse T-bar. The T-bar's flexibility under torsional stress allows each arm to move independantly of the other while maintaining tractional stability. The result is true four wheel independant suspension with great roadability on tight curves and rough surfaces. A car that goes like Scirocco goes should stop like Scirocco stops. Scirocco has a power-assisted disc/drum dual diagonal braking system and negative steering roll-radius. Together these systems hold Scirocco on its intended course, even if one brake circuit fails or if one of the front tires blows out. Scirocco is a true 2+2 sport coupe. With a hatchback for extra convenience and carrying capacity. At the same time, Scirocco is a true economy car that gets about 38 miles per gallon on the highway and about 24 miles per gallon in city driving. Scirocco is what you've been waiting for. And it's out there now. Waiting for you. Scirocco. The Hot One. From Volkswagon.
